Funny enough I actually was "cheated" with a big mac when I was like 11! My mom came back with McDonald's and when I took a bite it felt kinda dry so I opened it up and it was literally just lettuce and the 3 pieces of bread lol I was so upset!

When I was like 5 I won 4 tickets to Disney World from Albertsons in a kids raffle(we lived near Orlando). My parents took my 7 year old brother and his friend because they didn't want to deal with a 5 year old at Disney. Ended up not going until a friend in college brought me when he had an extra pass for some reason. Family is something else sometimes. When I was younger, I couldn't understand why they did it... But now I just don't understand why they told me I won the tickets. Just say my brother won them the week before or something when he was there.

Was at McDonald's years ago where a lady was screaming at some 17 yo kid because she didn't get extra cheese. She disassembled the burger layer by layer yelling "no cheese here"… "none here" at full volume before a manager stepped in and gave her money back and got her to leave.

How people feel justified doing this blows my mind sometimes; just let them know and they will fix it for you.

I got my mom with that once as a kid. She brought me some dinner, I looked at it, sifted it around a bit, then asked "Where's the rest?" I was just screwing with her, but it turns out she had actually split part of it off to give to my half-sister, who had already eaten but wanted part of mine anyway (Which she ended up throwing away) and my mom gave it to her, so she thought I had actually figured that out and so she just admitted everything.

That touches on a particularly nefarious part of guilt and why I tend to avoid it by being honest, because there always is that knowledge in the back of your mind and the consideration on whether you should come clean. I hate that feeling and it keeps my tendencies to take the easy route by being dishonest in check.

Got a Double Big Mac (four patties instead of two) the other day where everything was under the lower two bread pieces. That was strange.

When I was five, my dad had a business trip to Orlando and he stayed a few days extra so my mom could come with and they could go to a show at Disney. It was their first trip alone together in at least fifteen years and I completely understand why they wanted that now that I’m an adult.

They definitely could have just said that they were going to Florida though, because five year old me did not get it and was super put out about the whole thing.

Bringing only some siblings is a whole different ball game though, even without the tickets being rightfully yours

I have the opposite problem at fast food joints. Want it plain with cheese? Well auto did our job and now are scraping off the sauce (gross).

I moved the summer before fifth grade. My previous town, elementary school was prek through fourth grade, but new town had fourth and fifth grade in their own school.

Chorus was "mandatory" starting fourth grade, and so when I went to the first chorus class, they'd do a warmup where they'd sing this song. No problem, I'd heard the jingle, and I could pick it up quick. The problem was when they would then sing it backwards. All these kids had a full year on me, and I'd stumble my way through it like a fool.

So it came as a surprise to my teacher when I tapped out. I said, enough is enough, no more chorus for me. And so I was assigned a paper on Lyndon Big Dick Johnson. I'm not sure how that was a good replacement for an art class, but that was that.

I do the same but I always order it without the middle bun. Occasionally that confuses whoever takes myorder.

I learned that it’s considered a “special request” in their POS system, so now I say I have a special request no middle bun please and that seems to help.

I used to eat at McDs fairly regularly and the Big Mac was my go to. For some reason my location would forget the special sauce and onions on one of the patties. Just thinking about it makes me sad.

Whenever a fast food place screws up its minor inconvenience for the customer all it takes is asking for the issue to be resolved.

That said, in my experience as a customer at a particular sandwich place in my town, I always ask for extra sauce on the side because compared to the others of the same franchise this one always skimped on the sauce and I knew it. And that asking for extra on the sandwich never worked, it was always very lightly sauced verging on dry.

For a while I just figured it was habit of one of their employees, later I found out that it was almost certainly their fucking manager's policy or something because he was working the front and when I asked for extra on the side he seemed annoyed and charged me for the sauce (that had never happened before). I didn't make a fuss about the charge that time but it annoyed me. So the next time I saw that it was him at the counter I asked if they charged for extra sauce but not specifying on the side, he said no. So I asked for it again specifically on the side. This time he actually started trying to explain/pester to me that "They put plenty on the sandwich already, are you sure?". I was sure. Dude recognizes me now. WTF how much could that extra sauce be costing him? He fucking running a honey mustard and mayo smuggling ring?

Woof, that's hilarious and annoying. Food service from what I understand has super thin margins - things like fountain drink sodas (and alcohol sales at other spots) do a lot of the work on keeping the place economically viable. Not excusing that guy's pettiness but if you see weird behavior around a specific ingredient or item, it's probably something along those lines.
