Judging by the language and behaviour we've seen so far; I doubt it's at all sophisticated. 'Might is right' and the US should belittle and subjugate others because they can - it's their right and furthermore their duty to the American people! In other words, he's probably a straightforward imperialist. I don't know the guy though so if anyone can add nuance to that I'd be glad to understand better.

It's interesting that the budget of the American military includes social security and retirement plabs, while the europeans don't.

Could be that he just wants to be cool, one of the gang, saying what he thinks is cool right now. He is building his identity in the group.

He probably can't grasp how much return the US was getting out of their geopolitical position. Same with the tariffs and humanitarian aid.

I live in Canada and have seen the Confederate flag greater than 0 times in Alberta. It's odd.

Makes me laugh when I see the confederate flag in Pennsylvania, considering the Confederates invaded PA. Gettysburg is right fucking there and yet some still think it’s some cool rebel flag. Idiots.

He is from the Cincinnati area, which borders Kentucky, and he spent some of his youth in Kentucky. Not a proper southerner, but from the gradient where North becomes South.

I've always been curious exactly how much the US benefited from their geopolitical position. I suspect it's a huge amount and I guess now we'll get to find out.

He's a fascist, and is disgusted by European Social Democracy. This is why they're aligning the US with Russia, because they're a fellow fascist oligarchy.

                        It's really not that complicated.

The North-South divide transformed into a rural-urban divide over the course of the 20th century, especially following the Civil Rights & Voting Rights Acts of 1964, and the subsequent Southern Strategy employed by the Nixon (and subsequent Republican) campaigns. The strategy appealed to southern whites, as well as whites in suburbia and rural communities, which a lot of the Midwest and heartland states are. On top of that, add-on the collapse of Midwestern industry, with the capitol flight being blamed on Democrat policy, and you get a severe cultural shift towards neo-Confederate sympathy.

Here some background info, about his tattoos.

The main tattoo, the Jerusalem cross, used to be a symbol in heraldy. But since the 2000's it's bacome a symbol appropriated by rightwinged Christian American nationalist extremism (nazis) according to wiki :

"In the 2000s in the United States, the Crusades became an object of focus for some white supremacists along with related iconography including the Jerusalem Cross. Matthew Taylor, who specializes in Christian extremism, said that the Jerusalem cross "doesn't always necessarily connote an endorsement of the Crusades" but far-right and neo-Nazi groups use the symbol."

So ofcourse he won't like a non-American, democracies country, with no (nazi) values. As a selfappointed crusader, he probably prefers to launch a "crusade to purge the system.

The amount of soft power the US uses globally is massive, too much and too complex for the current administration to grasp

He's an arrogant cunt who thinks his country is bigger and richer so Europe should be kissing his ass because he has to kiss trump's (lets not forget that he hated Trump recently). The MAGAs have a persecution complex and he's what passes for an intellectual to hicks and MAGA. He probably showed himself up in Europe sometime trying his loudmouth pseudointellectual bully boy patter and got his arse smacked. Poor JD... I believe the word is butthurt.

Also they didn’t know that a massive amount of USAID operations are used as CIA covers. It’s a good way to get agents a legitimate reason to be in a country.
