        Yes. I doubt the frech courts will be impressed by Trumps opinion. Might even backfire. If Trump says somebody was innocent you can bet your life they're guilty as hell.

                Dear Donald, just like you, Le Pen is a convicted criminal. But in contrast to the US, the EU has still a working justice that takes action against criminals like her. Yours, Europe

                    True, but I find it important to correct the statement "he's tariffing us [EU countries]". Maga sectarians are working very hard to establish the lie that foreign countries pay tariffs when the US imports foreign goods even though it's actually the US importers who pay.

                        It's not even the prison sentence they are contesting the most (2 years suspended + 2 years served at home with electronic bracelet), but the 5 years ineligibility sanction effective immediately.

                            If that really were true the current EU commission president would be a convicted criminal too. I guess it’s a breath of fresh air at least.
