A damn shame that he's an anti-vaxxer. A damn shame.

I think it started around when he married Jenny McCarthy, who has long been a very vocal anti-vaxxer.

Actors say this shit all the time, particularly when they know they're a critical character in the middle of an unfinished successful series. I wish I could just tell my boss I'm retiring then come back a week later just to do the work I was always planning on doing after my boss wrote a check for $10 million.

tbf being an actor, especially in film, is fucking terrible at times.

I shot a car commercial years ago. Getting up at 4am to get to set for 4.30 to stand in one spot say "¡Vamos!" in heavy makeup repeatedly for 15 hours 3 days in a row in the exposed elements becomes torturous.

You know what's really torturous? Getting up at 4 am to drive 1.5 hours to the city to pour concrete for a multi billion dollar company 10 hours, 5 days a week so you can support your family on $24 an hour.

all jobs have ups and downs. Considering "reste" periods (unemployment), $24/hr is probably more than I made from that commercial.

His exes parents blame him for their daughters suicide afaik, I read about it long ago and remember feeling shitty about him after. I'm too lazy/disinterested to read about it again.

John McCarthy gave us the beautiful programming language named Lisp that eventually led to birth of a whole new family of programing languages including modern JavaScript, Clojure, and more. He was also (among a few other significant things) one of the founders of AI.

I didn't know about her parents blaming him for her suicide so I went to dig a bit deeper searching on it and it's a lot worse than that, out of caution for anyone reading this I advise with a trigger warning of substance abuse and relationship abuse, if you don't have a trigger to these here you can read an article from Independent on it: Wayback Machine archived link | Direct link (not archived)

He indirectly made JavaScript? I rest my case.

You know, if it's that terrible, and construction would be better, you could probably get a job in that.
