If you don't have a car to get to a physical store, where (what websites) do you get your electronics?

I walk, it's not ideal but I take one for mother earth and walk the whole 10000 cm to the store when needed.

Monoprice for cables, even if I wasn't near electronics places I probably still would. Cable markup is goofy.

Newegg for most things.
Some electronics, I know of smaller online stores and I prefer to order from them. The only brick and mortar store near me is a Best Buy and that is no good for anyone.

Who remembers when Radio Shack carried actual radio components?
I don't, but grew up hearing the tales.
Who remembers when Radio Shack carried actual radio components?
It was glorious.

If you did have a car, where would you go for electronics? There’s not many places left I wouldn’t avoid.
I’m near enough to MicroCenter and You-Do-It, but most people aren’t and there’s really not much else worth going to.
Online is king for electronics shopping

Even when they were an RC car store they still had that one area in the back that none of the salespeople knew about. It didnt actually get removed until it turned into a phone store

MicroCenter has a website you can order from and have shipped directly to you

geizhals.de - comparison portal, and then go by offer and ratings, and which I know and used before

If someone saw me walking out of an electronics store alone, I'd 99% get mugged if I don't get into a vehicle quickly.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]Oh, I was just asking because I have a BestBuy that's like a 15 minute drive away, but would take forever to talk to and back from, while carrying the weight of the stuff you bought. I think I also have a Microcenter like 45 min to 1 hour away.
I had a recent terrible experience with Besbuy, so that's why I can't use their shipping anymore. (They use Doordash now, and the driver stole my laptop)

The only possible way to get to a shop is "a car"... Poor Americans!
I think OP is speaking about their own situation. Americans in other circumstances have other ways of getting to stores and back.

Aside from amazon ive also used newegg and for some things monoprice. For used stuff, especially phones i use swappa.
I like Swappa. If you can find what you're looking for there, you can usually get a good price, and everything I've bought on it has been in good condition.

Allegro, Empik or Media Expert

These and I'd add Crutchfield, Sweetwater, and Best Buy has good sales.
For components, the standard Mouser, Digikey, and McMaster-Carr
Excellent lists.

eBay. Better not to buy tech new.

Depends on the electronics. Computer components I try to get from their manufacturers or an online shop like bhphotovideo. Cables I get from reputable suppliers with certifications, from their online shops. Laptops, pre-built computers, etc. i would just get secondhand.

Bestbuy is more expensive than just buying the same products online, in my experience

What? You just really ruined my day - apparently I haven’t been there enough. Trying to control my toy budget

Can you share what these smaller stores are, please?
