Cracker Barrel will go back to old logo after conservative backlash
-
When you own all three branches of the government, have deported thousands of innocent, disenfranchised people, and you've got civil liberties and democracy on the ropes, but your whole shtick is grievance and vengeance, you get nonsense like this. They need more to things to get mad at to feed the monkey on their back.
They will always find another bag of Rage Heroin somewhere. Fox can always manufacture more.

it's been a spell since I've been to the US but the only thing I remember about Cracker Barrel is the triangle/golf tee game they had at the tables. The food? I don't remember anything about the food or what I even ate. but that game? I was all over it.
I actually preferred Bob Evans breakfasts. I remember as a kid whenever my family visited the states I would insist we go to Bob Evans for breakfast.
I actually preferred Bob Evans breakfasts.
I'm sorry, but I've never seen an opinion be wrong before.

I wish these people cared as much about the president being a pedophile as they do about this mid-ass restaurant changing its logo.
They need these distractions, otherwise they start to actually think. Their leaders can't have that happening.

Its not even political at all. It was just dumb corporate blandness that defeats the purpose of the restsurant's image. Conservatives made it political because their CEO happens to be a woman.
wrote last edited by [email protected]I'm pretty sure conservative media made it political to rile up their base and distract from anything important; ditto the Sydney Sweeny fuckaround

What's the problem with the new logo?
Have you seen it? They took everything cracker barrels about out of the fucking sign. I'm not conservative by any means but even I think this is actually a win. The new sign was just sad

Bland? No need to change? Why the whole thing?

What happened to McDonald’s? Apart from maybe a slight font change, it’s the exact same thing from 70 years ago.
Also, Burger King is an example of ditching a trendy look and going back to an older, more timeless logo.
Have you ever been in a McDonald's in the past 50 years?

this was 30+ years ago, I've never been to one since then so I'm very sure it's changed.

Awww… the new one was so much cleaner and nicer.

Step 1: Get a terrible rebranding done
Step 2: Wag the dog with fake/paid outrage
Step 3: Reverse the decision letting people think they’ve won
Step 4: Profit
It’s New Coke all over again.
honestly I thought it was this too

The new logo is pretty terrible. I bet they paid a lot to some consulting company for it and when they saw how bad it was they wanted to at least try to get some benefit from it.

I'm Canadian, so I don't get this cultural reference either. I see in the new one a barrel, presumably full of crackers
Also, why would anyone store crackers in a barrel?

It's literally simple. It's just boring not bad

It’s just boring not bad
This has been the theme of every area of design since 2015. Cars, buildings, logos, websites, interior design; everything is not necessarily bad but really boring.
