I was thinking of doing exactly that multiple times, Samsung DeX is very nice to use. But without a proper IntelliJ IDE it would be a pain.
Yeah, Samsung DeX makes it feel almost like a laptop, but I totally get the struggle some IDEs just don’t scale well on mobile. I’ve tried lighter alternatives like a code or Termux with Vim, and it actually works surprisingly okay for small projects

Well, I do this for a living, so not viable I can get the proper tools. But the minute JetBrains does an Android build, I'm trying it.

Yeah, I get that! Phones are surprisingly powerful these days. I sometimes feel like I’m carrying a mini workstation in my pocket. Definitely not a full replacement for heavy-duty dev work, but perfect for quick fixes or experimenting on the go
