That sounds perfectly DIY-able to me.

The heat from the electron gun vaporizes the liquor next to the vacuum tube which gets everyone just a little leveled out

These were from the seventies which means you levelled out with the coke mirror on the TV.

Would have weighed a ton. Barely any plastic, solid wood through out. Electrical components that weren't miniaturized yet.

Stuff was HEAVY back then. More than you'd think.

Nothing felt as good as having a gamma-ray gun pointed directly at your face.

The console TV in the meme would have needed 2 big ass, grown men to carry it down at most 3 steps, or just level ground floor no more than 75 feet.

Elvis had to be wary of ricochets from shooting at these TVs.

Used the total power of a modern household, but you could FIX it! Dad and I took a few trips to the grocery store to test and buy new tubes. If dad couldn't hack it, call the repair guy. Imagine it being cheaper to have a man come to your house a few times than to buy a new TV.

I got an old console tv, gutted it, and fit a cheap 32in in it. Doesn't have that dome effect but it feels amazing to play n64 and Xbox on.

...heck, may parents' first litton microwave took three grown men to move and we barely managed at that...
