I love New Orleans, love the French Quarter, love the people, but the poverty is staggering. And NOLA is their crown jewel?!

Did a quick Y2K stint in St. Louis. I was amazed at how easy it is to get around by car! I'm directionally impaired, and that was long before affordable GPS, but I looked at the map at the airport and was like, "Yeah. I get that!"

Oh wow that’s funny cos a lot of people who come here get very confused by it since the layout is based off city center rather than a grid. I like it myself as well, it makes a lot of sense and allows for more diagonal travel to cut some time off your trip. Haven’t been to New Orleans myself but I really would love to see the city, it’s like our sister city with the French connection so I feel obligated to visit
