The number of active duty troops needed by the U.S. to enter battle gas fallen drastically. We aren't actually trying to occupy anything. For instance we sent 130,000 into Iraq in 2003, and the needed numbers have fallen more since as warfare advances. The U.S. has over 2,000,000 troops and 700,000 reserves. The draft was retired because we don't need it. We just view it as the draft being gone because that's what the government wanted us to see/believe. Yet every male in the U.S. is required by law to sign up. Propoganda works wonders on us all. Will we see a ban occur, someday I'm sure, but it won't be before we know volunteers far outweigh what's needed for the greed of the rich.

A hospital in the Israeli town of Beersheba has been hit as Iran fired a barrage of missiles, with the conflict between the two countries continuing into a seventh day.

Iran said the strike had targeted a military site close to the hospital, not the facility itself. Dozens of people were reported injured in several locations across Israel, including near Tel Aviv.

After visiting the Soroka Medical Centre on Thursday, Israel's Defence Minister Israel Katz said Iran's supreme leader "can no longer be allowed to exist".

Meanwhile, Israel's military said it had targeted Iran's nuclear sites including the "inactive" Arak heavy water reactor and Natanz facility.

You have to be special kind of a scumbag to intentionally bomb hospitals full of innocent people.

        Iran is also bad.

This is the only sane take.
Bombing hospitals is a war crime for a goddamn reason.

There is simply no excuse for this, both sides should be held liable for their war crimes.

If we want to hold Iran to account for this one war crime and Israel to account for its thousands of war crimes, that sounds like Justice, yes. Lets do Israel first.

Israel calls the attack "criminal" but had no problem levelling hospitals in Gaza...

it will be considered a war crime

but it'll boil my blood when she the countries who defended and sponsored the Gaza genocide will come out to declare Iran bombing a hospital a war crime and will cooperate with the ICC (or appropriate body) to prosecute Iran.

because bombing all the hospitals in a country is fine, but one is Israel does it

Agreed. I don't care who gets tried in The Hague first though, so long as both get their lawful comeuppance.

Yeah, I agree. Not sure why the west is so eager to shield Israel from their responsibilities, but Netanyahu and co should stand trial for their crimes against humanity. But so should Khamenei.

I hope how the impunity of Israel makes bombing hospitals a normal occurrence in war. I have a feeling bombing hospitals will become the norm in wars.

Well, Israel and its allies provided a lot of statements that justify attacks on hospitals.

As the BBC reported, there is military and intelligence sites nearby, which is consistent with Irans claim of having targeted legitimate military targets. I guess the Israelis should be condemned here for using their hospitals as human shields, like they have accused their targets of, usually falsely.

I hope that as little Civilians as possible get hurt, however the attacking nation crying wolf about collateral damage, after butchering Civilians in the tens of thousands during the past years and well before that too, cannot help but raise an eyebrow. This comes especially as many people in the Israel civilian population have cheered on massacre against Civilians.

Had a quick look at their statements. The IRGC claimed to target "IDF C4I, along with a military intelligence facility located in the Gav-Yam Technology Park".

The edge of the technology center area is 1.2km from the location of the missile strike, which seems to have been the main hospital building of the medical center. Whilst I don't know where in the tech center area the "intended" target is, this puts the hospital area as a whole at a distance of 900m-1.5km. This is within the CEP (circular error probable) for some of Iran's ballistic missiles, but at least from a cursory search they appear to have armaments with enough accuracy to not risk hitting the hospital when aiming at their supposed target and sufficient range to hit Israel.

                            Oof

I feel bad for the half of Israelis who don't support the genocide and war.

The rest deserve to reap what they sow

agreed, love it. Lets just start using laws again, and suffer real consequences for breaking them.
