Regarding the US and The Orange Man
-
I sadly don´t know what the original source is (I got it from @[email protected]) and while this is clearly aimed at the american people, I´m convinced that this advice is not only helpful for us europeans handling the orange man but als useful handling our own authoritarian characters.
Alt-Text (since it´s to long):
Some Wise advice circulating:
1. Dont use his name.
2. Remember this is a regime and heis not acting alone.
3. Do not argue With those Who support him - it doesn´t work and it makes
them feel important. lt makes them feel theytve won something.
4. Focus on his policies. Do not focus on his personality traits, his physical
appearance, or his mental state.
5. Keep your message positive; they want the country to be angry and
fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow.
6. No more helpless/hopeless talk. The numbers dont lie, there are more of
tust than there are of them. Feel that support.
7. Support artists and the arts.
8. Be careful not to spread fake news. Fact check it.
9. Take care of yourselves.
10. Resist! Keep demonstrations peaceful. In the words of John Lennon,
"When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the
system's game. The establishment will irritate you - pull your beard, flick your
face - to make you fight! Because once they´ve got you violent, then they
know how to handle you. The only thing they don´t know how to handle is
non-violence and humor."
11 . When you post or talk about him, dont assign his actions to him, assign
them to "The Republican Administration". This will have several effects: the
legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association With him
or stand up for what some of them dont like; he will not get the focus of
attention he craves. His representatives will become very concerned about
their re-elections.
(Copy to paste to your wall - wider than sharing)Leading by example. Yes.
Show class and integrity, don't just argue about the lack of it in others. Do what's right, regardless of what others may think, regardless of the waves of negative opinions trying to dissuade or turn you against your own ideals by acting rashly and out of sheers spite.

Behind almost every peaceful protest was an armed group demonstrably ready to make things very not peaceful. Your school history book just likes MLK better than Malcom X.
History books and the US Government likes MLK better than Malcom X because MLK didn't advocate violence against the ruling class.
Bearing in that the FBI literally tried to discredit MLK and have whitewashed their involvement.

(Copy to paste to your wall - wider than sharing)Yeah, ask this is great expect 10. Violence isn't a bad thing, it just needs to be done tactically. Starting a fight when the cops are already there with the bait bricks they layed out? Not smart. Doing something at the governing body's place of residence when there aren't cops around? Sends a message.
I get it, people are scared of consequences, but at this point they're putting people into gulags whether they have some something or not so you may as well.

Also, MLK being murdered violently caused change.

I'm glad this is at the top.
They don't want protests at all, but if they have to have them then they want peaceful ones. Peaceful protests are very easy to ignore. -

(Copy to paste to your wall - wider than sharing)Most of this is stuff I've been urging liberals/progs/leftists to do for years. Using the maga's same disingenuous rhetorical tricks is not productive.
When I do, they usually call me a Trump plant
-
I agree with everything except 10. because at this stage a resistance movement needs a political branch taking care of protests, strikes and keeping the public informed as well as an armed branch taking care of other things. Peaceful protests will soon be banned and once they are it's much more difficult to rally, arm and train people. The government moves fast so it's crucial to be prepared.
I just got vastly down voted in another thread and im here to do it again: against whom are you advocating violence, and on what time scale? Against the police? FBI? The Senate? The Executive Branch? And are you going to bruise, bleed, maim, rape or kill them? And is that tomorrow? next week? Next month? Next year?
I sincerely doubt anyone in these comments will do any of those things, and if they did, I doubt their success even harder.
