The world we are living in… I wish there was a way to filter these kind of people out from jobs where other people depend on them. I always wonder at work(I am a SW engineer in a big company) how did HR allow hiring of some individuals? Some are just full blows psychopaths. The hiring staffs need to up their skills to detect these things.

The hiring staffs need to up their skills to detect these things.
They're genuinely difficult to detect early on, however, systems to limit the damage they do, and ultimately push them out, are viable.
It could be viable to screen high impact positions through an assessment from a qualified psychologist specialising in Cluster B, however, probably not all positions.
Most people have zero chance of dealing with these individuals, even knowing what they are.

Sounds like this guy, who did something similar. He was convicted in 2015 to a life in prison. It went all over the news back then.
Other than having a quiet shift, he wanted to put himself into the role of the hero who safed the patients, as far as I recall. In order to do this, he manipulated the patients' medication and thus, a medical emergency was provoked, where he steps in and saves the patients' life. But it went wrong oftentimes and the patients died. That's how they got onto him.

I'm actually shocked how different this case is being reported than others. Some migrant with psychological problems is killing people with knifes or his car? This is headline news for days. A german serial killer being discovered who killed 9 people? Nobody really cares as if old people are not real people or so.

Medical malpractice comparatively doesn’t often make news for single cases. People like believing the medical system will take good care of you. It’s scary to admit that might not be the case.
