Judging by the nonchalant reactions of the people she is running past, seems fake.

Genuine assholery, but why didn't she finish taking the escalator and follow him on the one that goes down. She would have been faster. Yes, I am deeply entrenched in the autism spectrum, why do you ask?

Did your autism prevent you from anticipating he would have countered your move by completing his down escalator and moving over to the one that goes up?

Yes. But down is always faster. By running up, he is handicapping himself. 🙂

                      Edit: typo.
