Double whammy. First, calling people out for such a small thing, if it even arguably is a thing, is purely performative. Calling them out for this only alienates them from the cause and makes this person feel smug. In the grand scheme I'd argue it hurts the cause more because you just pissed off a bunch of people by doing it.
Second, as an admin I can see voted, but I would never be so petty to use it like this. I do aggregations to see who routinely downvoted my posts or communities to prevent trolling, but I have a very forgiving ratio. (Like if you downvote more than X ratio more than you upvote, then why are you even in my community if you hate it so much). Anything this small is just petty.

I think it has been reddit since the influx of users started coming from reddit. reddit mods migrated here and immediately started acting the way they act on reddit. the way they behaved on reddit was never their issue with reddit.

I consider it annoying, but imo it's not even gender-specific anymore in its usage.

Here’s the offensive “bro” speak. What a loser.
I was extremely tempted to go to the user's profile and downvote a bunch of stuff at random.
I decided that was childish and inflammatory and changed my mind, although I do still think it would be a little bit funny. I also did find the mod's original comment, and discovered you can still downvote comments which have been deleted out of cowardice. It's now at -31 votes so presumably some other people had the same idea.
