I don’t understand, Huawei defrauds less than Hungary does and therefore… not an issue?

Huawei is certainly a big issue, corrupt Chinese assholes.

What an absurdly derailed op-ed. It folliws the same whataboutism that is so widespread among Chinese propagandist. Just because there is one traitor in Hungary does not mean that the traitors from China are better. Huawei should have been banned from Europe long time ago, and this 'incident' is yet another reason to not trust this company and the totalitarian regime behind it.

Don't think "traitor" makes sense applied to the Chinese. The op-ed is indeed all over the place, don't think it articulates its point very well

Call it whatever you want, it's an alleged criminal act by Huawei which is backed by a dictatorship. But, yes, I would even say the article misses the point completely. It's cheap whataboutery trying to distract from China.

All Chinese companies should be regarded with suspicion, based simply on the fact that independent companies don't exist in China. The CCP has their own offices and people in every company and organization of sufficient size.

FBI wants a backdoor into iPhones, Apple says no and Tim Cooke is just fine.
The richest man in China, Jack Ma, criticizes government policy holding back Big Tech domestically, he gets disappeared for 3 months.
