Sensationalist bullshit headline. This is not new. Wifi is just high-frequency radio waves, which have always been able to penetrate most typical walls. Using wifi to detect movement is not new, either.

Crazy what kinda stuff is possible. At least this still requires actively controlling the fan(s).The things you can do with just the sensors of a mobile phone...
