I'm probably? a couple decades older than you, it's always been this way. My entire life has been Americans convincing other Americans to fuck their own country and futures for culture war bullshit, petty vengeances, and unmitigated greed on the promise that they'll get theirs too only to be left empty handed and worse off than before.
