Control Ultimate Edition: March 2025 Update Notes (PC)

Ooh, yes, the new Prey was a terrifying, incredible title! It's almost too much for me to bear replaying, even, though it was incredibly gripping and is amazingly well-done.
Yea it was something I didn't touch for a while, as I thought it was something to do with another title called prey which wasn't that good.

This was certainly unexpected

Same here, I really did enjoy it for a bit, but the grind began to feel like work. Didn't help that my Xbox one would crash per consistently.

You didn't like Prey?!?! Did you maybe take it at too hard of a difficulty? It was incredible!

:::Time to start control again. I got a good bit through on the switch but really felt that I was missing out because the game is so beautiful.

Currently playing through the game so that was unexpected. Spoilerfree
The good:- (Really good) Faster loading times
- More gfx options
- Free outfits from founder edition
- More missions apparently (still going through the base game so idk)
The bad:
- Lip sync is still broken in engine cinematic
The ugly:
- You now have to sign EULA
- Menu ad for Alan Wake 2 and DLCs
I get it, it's 2025 but 2 days ago I was praising the game to a friend about how player friendly the game was and how it felt like a game and not an app.
Dude the ads on menu shit is horrific. I loaded up DOOM 2016 the other day and literally the menu, in the fucking game, is a selector between the game I installed and a selector for DOOM Dark Ages that I don't own. What the fuck. This is why I hate games being always online even if strictly multiplayer. That game is damn near a decade old and theyre shoving updates to it just in hopes of sales. /rant

The original one, not the second SCP one. The scp one in space was incredible and I loved it. The first one from 2006 was terrible.

Oh, I was referring to the second one, yeah.

Is any of this in the unofficial dev mod, or should that still be used?
It's the unofficial patch made official.
