wrote last edited by [email protected]EU now mandates minimum of 5 years after the device is no longer on sale, so most likely 7 years total. This was a law that came into place just 1 week ago.
If you're outside the EU it's possible you won't get that, but since the work is already done, you can likely count on it coming to other markets too.

The rules for transport of batteries are based on the size of the cell rather than the size of the battery package in total.
That sounds like an obvious loophole?
