It's even worse, there are people with half their faces mauled off happy to have half a face. Like that guy whose wife was taken by ICE and he's still team MAGA https://www.rawstory.com/trump-deportations-2671363535/

TBF, buying into that propaganda isn't unlike believing that the Emancipation Proclamation wasn't in fact a thinly-veiled maneuver to legalize slavery via incarceration.
It's all part of growing up β for those Americans who choose to. Which, isn't anywhere near enough of us, evident by where we are today.

Bartell's first thoughts as his wife was detained were, "What the fβ do I do?" but he now tells Newsweek in an exclusive interview, "I don't regret the vote" for Trump.

The English had already fought a revolution to ensure that their king wasn't above the law a century before the Americans decided to brew some salty tea. What you've got now is worse than what the founding fathers rebelled against.

Here's a fun selection of grievances against King George III from the Declaration of Independence.
"He has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands."
"He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures."
"For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:"
"For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Jury trial:"
"For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses:"
"For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:"

Give it a year until their big bullshit bill kicks in and a whole lot more faces about to be eaten.

Yeah but the OOP doesn't seem to understand it wasn't about the monarch himself. It was the parliament which contained no representatives from the colonies, therefore nobody to stand up for them in political talks. Nowadays they have career politicians and outright fascists, therefore nobody to stand up for them in political talks. It's just a different flavor of the same oppression
