area of 220 hectares — the size of over 300 soccer pitches.

🤦 And how many elephants does it weight?

300 is btw roughly the amount of players in 27 soccer teams or the exact amount of fingers on 60 hands.

Made me look it up. About 1 in 100.000 people lose a finger each year, so with an average life expectancy of 73 yo. and some generous rounding your finger math would be off by one finger on average in about 3% of the sample sets you pull.

Look, I don't know why your joke led me down this google rabbit hole, but it did and I'm glad it did.

If you have two arms, you have more than the average human.

I'm glad it did too. I did not need this information, nor do I know what to do with it, but somehow you made both of our days a little bit better.

Will the rails be high-speed rail? (so at least 150km/h or something like that)

Anyway, cool project! I hope to hear from it in like 10 years when it's done lol

It will be built out to 200km/h for the entire connection between Lübeck to Copenhagen.

Very cool. Thanks for the link!

I've been reading "The Power Broker" where among other things, Bob Moses was building highways in New York and refused to even consider extending the right of way 15 meters to allow for future public transit projects. Glad to hear they're (unsurprisingly) doing it right with the highway plus rail lines.
