Bullshit clickbait headline derived from deliberately misleading MB press release & headline
Prototype battery fitted to a peoduction car body does not equal "production ready real soon now
"There is nothing in the article (or the Press release) to indicate it will be in production ready any time sooner than its rival (or in fact even as soon).
MB did the same thing a couple of years ago with a conventional battery in a superlight body shaped to look like a production car and then touted how they got 600km range out of it (there's that figure again, I suspect someone's bonus is attached to that).
If MB ships a production car with a solid state battery before 2030 I'll eat my hat. If it's more like 2035 I won't be even a little bit surprised.
Their PR team are quite annoying, at least their competitors don't do this smoke & mirrors bs
