Oh I meant specifically troll / disinformation bots in comments. Not automatic news posts or something.
And I guess it depends on what you define as a bot. Is a 50 cent army guy a bot if it's still a human copy-pasting and writing disinformation?
I was speaking about bots as a piece of software, not about bots like an insult.

Chowderhead doesn't deserve a meme. Here are Shredder,
BlueyBandit, and Calvin to use instead :Sir (or ma’am) I’ll have you know that is Bandit, not his young daughter Bluey

This meme template really needs to die!

That’s not just a realization; it’s a powerful insight!
What's a Linkedin bot doing here?

Bot: “Reddit is nothing but bots.”
Bot 2: “Troll. Reported.”
“The year is 2052. The 2 remaining bot farms are actively involved in the 4th Great Bot War. We continue to stay
undergroundoffline as the war ravages the once-thriving internet.” -
Nah Lemmy has got bots too. I'm sure there's instances without. But any general instance with any communities around news or politics will have bots.
The nice part is that Lemmy admins like myself can crowdsource bot bans across federated instances.

This is very true BoredGamer! It is truly wonderful that us real and normal humans are able to exist on this platform and communicate with other real and natural humans, as I also definitely one. Let us go and mash nutrient rich together with our exposed skeletons and answer each others prompts about 10th grade chemistry.

It pretty much means that LLM's will permanently sound like people who commented on reddit from about 2010-2022

They're using Reddit as a source. My, they'll be in quite a surprise when the LLM finishes training.

We may be generally in the clear right now, but don’t assume that any particular forum or social medium is immune to being hijacked by astroturfing or botting
