I really need these games ported to Steam. What do y'all have on your lists?
-
I'm currently scraping the Steam barrel and I could really use these ports:
- Gravity Rush Remastered/Gravity Rush 2: best traversal in gaming. Surprisingly fun combat too. Just pure joy all around.
- Viewtiful Joe: integral Kamiya core and probably the closest on this list to actually happening seeing the Clover revival.
- God Hand: I have nothing new to add here. All I can do is reiterate the "beat'em goat" claim.
- The Red Star: PS2 hidden gem—mix of beat'em up and twin-stick shooter. Proper action game rooted in arcade design principles.
- Ketsui: again, all I can do is reiterate the "shmup goat" claim. Criminal this is not on Steam. Come on, M2.
Alternate editions of games we already have on Steam:
- Catherine: Full Body: extra stages is cool, but I need the online Colosseum.
- Ninja Gaiden II: ugh, this one is obviously never happening at this point. I swear, even if they try a third time, they'll most likely find some way to mess it up.
Definitely never happening: Pikmin. Nintendo suck.
Final Fantasy Tactics, ideally the War of the Lions version.
-
Jet Set Radio Future.
PC or console just give me something!
Have you played Bomb Rush Cyberfunk?
-
People need to stop fighting in favor of a PC gaming monopoly in the hands of Valve. Shopping at multiple stores is more of an inconvenient than just getting everything from Amazon or Walmart, it's still bad for consumers to only have a single source for everything.
But have you considered the other platforms that aren’t GOG suck.
I want things on a platform that is either utterly unobtrusive, or useful. Unfortunately, that means either steam or GOG.

"Fighting in favor of PC gaming monopoly"
Jesus Christ, the drama. If anything, I'm fighting for Debbie Downers like you to let me enjoy my favorite shit in peace.
I promise you when Capcom publishes Viewtiful Joe on Itch.io, I'll buy it there. Now please take your bullshit elsewhere.

Crash Nitro Kart. Still stuck in exclusivity hell. Also salty Toys For Bob got canned for no good reasons.

I'm currently scraping the Steam barrel
Steam released 18,825 new games in 2024, beating its previous record of 14,311 last year.
That's a pretty deep barrel.
-
- Halo games after 4 (Just add them to the MCC, 343! Even as add-ons, FFS!)
- Anything and everything by Vanillaware, but especially Muramasa: The Demon Blade
- Rock Band 4 (I know Harmonix did a crowdfunding campaign for a PC port; I bought into it and I'm butthurt it failed)
- Time Crisis (any and all of them, but 1-3 first)
what other games besides halo 5?
Also why halo 5 -
Nine a winner. Pay the front line, take the don'ts.
He's comin' out again with a good one. Place your bets now ladies and gentleman.
-
Final Fantasy Tactics, ideally the War of the Lions version.
That one you could just emulate.

I mean... Who is bootlicking a corporation, the guy saying people need to use the alternatives or the ones saying they only want to use one or two options?
-
Just convenience, really.
You could just let me be and reply with your "I need these games ported to PC" list if you have one. No reason to turn everything into an argument.
He asked a legit question. You didn't say "PC", you said steam specifically. Why does the launcher matter?

Damn man, you brought some serious attitude here. Take a fucking walk.

You can, though from personal experience it can be a bit finicky if you're trying to emulate the better PSP version. There are some optional patches that can be applied to it to improve stability, but it still crashes on me a few times in PPSSPP.
A native PC release would have been nice to have. It's one of the few FF games still not available on PC/Steam.
Alternatively, one could grab the Android version and try to run that on PC through the now-deprecated WSA, but the mobile port is touch input only with no controller support.

Infamous 1 and 2, I'd love a remake to be honest but I'll take a simple port.

I was cursed with an extremely narrow taste in video games so there isn't a lot for me out there in general.

I don't recall trying to turn anything into an argument. I just wanted to know why Steam. Don't get me wrong, Steam is good but I don't have any particular allegiance to it. I agree that it's frustrating that Catherine Full Body is console locked but Catherine isn't.
-

I'd prefer native.

I have the android port already and have tried to get a reliable way to play it on PC and it's just too much of a pain in the ass
