I'm so sick of this "women and children" reporting. A death is a death, and as an antinatalist, seems like having kids in such a situation wasn't the best of ideas.
Most of the men being killed aren't Hamas, yet we're treating their deaths as lesser than others'? This isn't borne of sexism but rather being tired of the heartstrings propaganda.

wrote last edited by [email protected]As much as I agree with you, I think the purpose of the 'women and children' stats is more to avoid malicious attempts to derail the conversation by distracting with questions of "how many of them were Hamas tho", "how do you know they weren't Hamas", etc.

You always know you're on the right side of history when demanding others disprove a negative.

Israel knows exactly what it's doing to Palestinians, but it clearly has no idea what it's doing to itself.

I think if I ever hear someone say that unironically in real life, I'm going to smack them.

Smack them in self-defense, of course

Or maybe some do and that's what they want?

If you mean some Israelis want the world to collectively view them as a genocidal state of racists and murderers (or at least racist and murderer apologists), I mean, sure, perhaps some do, but I can't fathom why they would, and I don't think that's particularly common given how widespread their propaganda campaigns go to push the narrative that they're the good guys.
