You can use the YouTube link as the post link and use the picture you uploaded as the thumbnail URL. Or better, upload your video to a site like catbox.moe or github.com that lets you grab a direct link to the file and put that as the post link. WebM is the most web-friendly video format. If you encode the video as WebM with the VP9 codec you might be able to upload it to the instance's picture server. However, I don't know what the file size and frame limit is for lemmy.world, you might need to settle for a low constant framerate or use
mpdecimate
to create a variable frame rate video.
