As a child, I remember, one of my friends had asked me to get into "GoGos", some small plastic figurines that were absolutely worthless. Well, I used my pocket money to buy two figurines. Same loot box/playing cards trash. You didn't know what you were buying unless you take the plunge.

After having saved up for two weeks, I finally bought them, only to hear my friend giggling while saying saying: "Oh you're still into GoGos, they are so out!"

Two weeks ago, this guy hyped them so much up for me and all of the cool things that we could do with these worthless injection molded plastic figurines and now, he pretended as if it was silly to have them. Ever since then I have participated in exactly zero fads. Luckily I was vaccinated against these types of scams as a very young child.

That's hilarious. Never knew it was such a thing in the States.

Americans are never taught human empathy or body language, so when we experience a basic critical thought, it must be magic and gods.

          I think this is satire.

The US is probably the last foothold christianity really has, where people don't even question wether religion and superstition make sense (ofc not everyone, but there are so many devout believers, cults, split off religions and so on, especially in rural areas like appalachians or rocky mountains
