China also has relations with Israel, they will most likely try and remain neutral (or at least try to look that way) just like they're (acting as if they're) neutral in the war in Ukraine.

Yeah. You're not wrong. China has trade with everyone. It's why they always just "condemn" and then continue trading. My point is that at some point they will have to take action in defense of their Allie's at the US keeps escalating.

Yeah. My point is more so about how America is viewed by the rest of the world and it's Allie's today in comparison to Iraq. We are far far less respected. World's done with pretending to believe our lies.

I guess the countries sceptical or hostile back than didn't really have much reason to change their mind about us. But Trump sure did a lot of damage to the relationship with befriended countries, guess all he has left are strategic allies with a similar world view. But I guess that's what autocrats want after all. Who needs friends if you've got power. But for me personally, even though my view on american people didn't change much my desire to support them definitely increased. If i were to meet someone from the US tomorrow that person would likely get a better treatment from me than if I had met him a few years ago. Not that i feel sorry for them or anything, but i just am really glad im not in their shoes. Had a colleague from Russia years ago, who left a hostile nation behind. Think I'd feel similarly for someone migrating from the US.

Unpopular opinion. But we'd be here if Trump was never elected. The US has wanted reason to invade Iran for decades. Trump definitely does damage to America's image. But, as far the the third world's image of America, no one did more damage than Biden did with his Genocide of Gaza.

The main point being. US imperialism is not directed by the president alone. It is directed by Americas defense industry and military industrial complex. I think the main difference between Trump or a Biden/Harris would be the aesthetics. And maybe going through the steps of Congress. But this war is what Imperialism is demanding.

In history class i regularly heard about people leaving warmongering countries, not as refugees but as economic migrants. I don't know your personal situation, but this is a friendly reminder it is possible you end up regretting you stayed. There might not be a better time to leave.

Unfortunately, those with the material means to be able to move them and their family to another country are the ones least likely needing to do that.

I agree, the us' imperialism is driven by a lot more than just a few individuals at the top. The 'aesthetics' would likely have kept a lot more allies on board. But the biggest change I see is how the powers driving the country are not only hurting a lot of people outside of the US (which goes for most developed countries), but is also more and more hurting people inside the US (similar to oppression in autocratic countries).

As far as the war in Iran goes I'm not so sure, if Democrats would have continuously stayed in power, the deal would most likely be up. But then the defense industry would still push for war somewhere else, so who knows what the world would have looked like. I'm not convinced it would look better.

Trump's getting closer to being able to launch the nuke he wanted to in his first presidency. How exciting for him.

China needs to start caring about how these actions from the US are threatening it's own stability. I don't want war with China. But there is a point where they will be forced to take actual action to defend their allies. And that's what the US is banking on. They want world war. This is another step towards that.

China doesn't want to make the same mistake as the USSR which is expending geopolitical power to maintain an entire hegemony against the USA. They're content with making money and don't spend a lot of energy keeping extreme espionage on every country like the USA does.

China knows the US will take the military option if confronted, which is to their disadvantage, so they'll find every alternative path or method.

Biggest example is Pakistan. Its a massive CPEC project and defense partner, yet the military leadership in charge is basically a US lapdog because China knows if they try to pull the same regime change shenanigans, its just gonna end up like USSR vs USA 2 with a crap ton of proxy wars everywhere.

I think their longterm goal is to just slowly erode at the global economy. Even if the US owns the regime in the country, a significant portion of money will be going to China. They could choose to eventually use that power to reinforce their allies, but I think that's still like 20+ years down the line.

Dude on CNN talking about how "now we are looking for Iran to come to the table for diplomacy". They are really trying to set up concent for further involvement.

I feel like I'm losing my mind watching all news media. So just a reminder for people.

Iran attacked no one until they were first attacked by Israel. They literally got attacked by Israel days before a diplomatic talk scheduled with the US. I'm losing my mind over how blatantly our media manufactures concent for war.

Country gets bombed, then gets bombed cause they got bombed, and the excuse is “we think that they have nukes”… https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/480/980/897.gif
