Apple will remove it, that’s it. No open Bluetooth or another standard. It will be just gone and tbh who cares? All apple users I know share the stuff anyways via iMessage because Airdrop works like shit anyways. -

Even if it is using a messenger instead - as no apple user I know uses iMessage instead.
