That's ridiculously heavy. Okay, mechanics have a legit excuse for not being strong enough to lift bikes.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]I think most mechanics are fully capable of lifting 80 lbs onto a stand, but doing it many times a day every day for years without a break seems like a recipe for back injuries.
I can lift mine up with one hand even, but only once or twice lol. After that I'd probably be increasingly unenthusiastic about it.

Depending on the frame, the clamping force and/or weight could deform the top tube, as it is not designed to bear vertical loads
