If I was you, I'd start that process now, dual boot for a bit. Make the transition gradually.

This is what I've done. I know I'll have to fully rip the bandaid off at some point, but sometimes you find a program that just won't run on your system for some reason

A good example is MTG Forge. Despite having a native Linux version, it just crashes every time I try to load a custom deck. Works perfectly on my windows version tho

Just use Enterprise IoT LTSC 2024, it doesn’t require tpm 2 and secure boot

Windows is great if you don't care about privacy, performance, stability, longevity, freedom, ownership, community, etc.

I think this is fine. You're replacing part of the protein, which is better than none.

Honestly it's a lot easier to be a vegetarian if by "vegetarian" you mean "doesn't worry too much about animal fat and bacon bits in fucking everything for no reason"

Doesn't really work with veganism but it's a lot less stress for most of the harm reduction

Well then it's not vegetarian anymore. I think the kids call it "flexitarian" 🙂

Or maybe you mean just the worrying part?

What's this in reference to? I'm out of the loop.

I was a big windows supporter until win11 when they started adding crazy shit like whatever it is that takes screenshots of every you do. And a bunch of other moves that were even more brain-dead than usual.

My next computer will be something like bazzite, or SteamOS (when they release v3 for real), since they have Linux desktop modes for my desktop needs.

Lemmy has a lot of Linux users. Saying you use Windows is like being a heritic to the faith.
