Your Android Phones Aren’t ‘Google’ Anymore, They’re All ‘Gemini’

Yes, please this. Current phones like the PinePhone just need a bit of polish and then I'm ready to go.
Also not so ridiculously expensive for what you are getting. I understand that economies of scale are a thing but asking me to pay >500$ for specs significantly lower than a 200$ Samsung is a really tough sell when it is worse at everything in the first place.

Its never coming to mass market in a user friendly package
Personally it doesn't need to be user friendly for me to use it, just have decent specs. Like at least a flagship phone from 2019 kind of specs. All the Linux phones are unbearably slow and have crap cameras and battery life.

I recently used Gemini just for fun, to help me find an old Android game that's not on Google Play anymore. It was literally useless even though I described the game with a lot of details.
DuckDuckGo'd some details and 10 seconds later I was playing the game.
Oh man! What was the game?

Yeah but it needs to be user friendly in order get adoption and support. How many tech pieces are lost because they cant find a market.
Im in agreeemnt that I just need a camera, phone text and browser mainly.
