It seems I've lived most of my life in the small part of the world where they distribute, so I've definitely seen the name on the store shelves often. Still had to look it up though, because who actually pays attention to that? Haha.

There is a grocery chain in southeast US called Publix that will absolutely refund expired milk and other items. They have a weekly rotation of BOGO free items. If you return those items after they aren't on sale anymore you will recieve a refund for each item. They've had this policy for decades aa far as I'm aware so it must not be abused too badly. They are also often twice as expensive as other grocery stores so maybe that justifies it.

I once had someone (during my thankfully short stint in retail) try and return a block of cheese that had gone mouldy before the use by date.
The packet was open and half eaten and he admitted they hadn't kept it in the fridge.
And my manager over rode me and gave the refund!
Used to be a site called behind the counter, something like that, was stories of a Wal Mart rep doing returns. They'd return anything, summer equipment people used and returned covered in sand, bikes because of flats, etc. with and without receipts they didn't give a shit. His or her blog was amazing.

Working at a home improvement store, I had a customer return a Christmas tree. The day after Christmas stating “it is dying”. Yes, lady that is what cut trees tend to do.

I didn't even think twice about the name, it's my go-to brand of ice cream. But of course the native American names sound odd to people not in the pacific northwest lol.

wrote last edited by [email protected]That's a pretty big cost exaggeration but otherwise that fits my experience with them

I'm now suspicious that all of those drop shipping brands are actually native American and just buy product from the Chinese.

Ahhh... Yeah, I'm not big on ice cream or milk (but love cheese, which it seems they don't sell), so that would explain why I'm only vaguely aware of the name.
