Look, I hate Trump as much as anyone, but I doubt he’s a pedophile.

He’s a repulsive, misogynistic creep, no question... but that specific accusation doesn’t seem to hold water for me.
Just look at Stormy Daniels; a full-bodied woman who leans into the MILF aesthetic. hardly the type you'd expect from someone with a sexual preference for minors.
Sure, pedophiles can have adult partners too, but if Trump had a paraphilic interest in children, I’d expect his pornstar hookups to reflect a more... petite stature.

Not all pedophiles only have sex with children.

I did address this in my comment lol

A lot of people who sexually exploit minors are not pedophiles - there are studies showing that around 60-80% of all perpetrators are actual pedophiles. The others are "just" regular offenders that "enjoy" the power dynamics, the lesser resistance, the lasting trauma they cause, etc. or just the opportunity.
It's a common misconception that people have that offenders who target young victims are pedophiles/hebephiles (Epstein very likely was the later).
So scientifically Trump fits the demographic for an offender very much. Does that mean he is one? No. But it doesn't rule it out as well.

That’s fair, but you’re shifting the goalposts.
The original implication wasn't “Trump might fit a statistical offender profile” (we know that he is); it was the more loaded insinuation that he's a pedophile: a clinical term implying a persistent sexual interest in children (and I'm using it as a catch all for hebe too). You even acknowledge that only 60-80% of offenders fall under that category, meaning the term is being misused most of the time, especially online.
So yes, someone can exploit minors without being a pedophile. But if you’re going to throw around accusations based on vibes, you better be clear on whether you’re accusing someone of being a predator in action or pathologically in desire. Those are different things, with different implications, especially when you're trying to gauge someone's psychological profile from tabloid news and court cases.
And sure, “doesn’t rule it out” is technically true of literally anyone. That kind of reasoning applies to your neighbor, your boss, or the barista who smiled at your kid.
So unless there’s real evidence beyond guilt-by-demographic or “he’s gross so it tracks,” we’re just circlejerking accusations because it feels righteous.

He is a fucking child diddler. I have no doubt someone like him is capable of anything.

wrote last edited by [email protected]Yeah, but to the average person, the scientific definition doesn't matter squat.
Had sex with a child=pedophile, which is the way the term is being used here. Nobody is interested in getting into the nuance of specifically, psychologically, why. And ti he honest, I don't think its particularly productive to overall conversation.

My point is: I don’t actually think Trump’s in the files, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s protecting someone who is.
And yeah, the distinction between pedophiles and opportunistic abusers is relevant here. Non-pedophilic offenders usually act based on opportunity, not compulsion; they don’t seek it out in the same persistent way a paraphilic predator does.
Which brings us to Trump’s track record: the guy pays for women like Stormy Daniels; full-bodied, pornstar aesthetic, very much not “childlike.” That doesn’t line up with someone quietly hiring girls who look underage. If he were chasing that kind of thing, you’d expect to see it bleed into his public tastes, even a little.
That doesn’t prove innocence, but it sure makes the pedo label feel more like projection than evidence.

Like the way he talks about his daughter? Or how he bragged about walking into the changing room at the miss teen USA pageant?

Ok so first of all: rape isn’t sex.
pedophilia doesnt write a hard rule that you can’t get off with any woman of any age. you can have no morals about age and still be a pedo. This isn’t either or. Trump is drawn to control fantasies which can involve anyone at any age. And rape is all about control.
He raped his wife. And he’s paying off Carroll after losing the case.
Which is repulsive in itself. But then you focus on stormy only. Meanwhile casablancas power position situation and all the locker room shit pouring out of his wretched mouth means nothing here…
I mean here you only focusing on age which is also a problem that it took this. This. And only this for conservatives to draw the line. Just that it’s only wrong only now that it is the age of his victims. And even then you’re trying to defend it like it has anything to do with sexuality.
Like all the other repulsive shit doesnt wave a red flag for anyone. But here we are explaining it to you too like as if that’s the only problem here or that it is a legitimate line to discuss around ‘sexuality’.
Which is entirely the wrong word to be even using in child rape. Or any rape. This is not sexuality. It is violence. -

wrote last edited by [email protected]Yeah, the way he talks about his daughter is undeniably weird, and the Miss Teen USA thing is disturbing. But neither proves a sexual interest in minors. It’s more consistent with someone who abuses power and has no boundaries, not someone with a specific paraphilia.
Even the infamous “grab ’em” quote was about adult women, not kids.
Trump’s public preferences, like paying for someone with Stormy Daniels’ look, don’t align with someone secretly seeking out underage partners. If that was his thing, you'd expect some hint of it elsewhere.
There’s more than enough to criticise him for without overreaching. Throwing around the pedophile label without solid evidence weakens the argument.
