          I feel this is going to fade, though. Today's kids have digital clocks (and it's been that way for quite some time now), they read exactly what's written there, like 7:26. The whole "in five minutes, it's half to eight" is mainly because of the clock hands on an old-school time-telling device.

              My youngest flatly refuses to use, or acknowledge the existence of the " half past, 10 to"etc system. I'll get "yeah but what's that not in stupid time" ? if I don't say 715 or whatever. Annoying teenagers lol.
