Get two birds stoned at once. BAAAAAAAMMMM.

Okay, so who are these two seriously?

I’ve heard Taylor swift was manufactured to the point where she was introduced as the next megastar at a party of music producers before even her first single hit the shelves.
Then again I wonder, does that really matter?
Someone is writing those songs and they have a clear handwriting, so it is almost certainly herself. Also many of them are very good as well (although maybe not for you). -

The other is a comedian and starred in the TV show Trailer Park Boys.

Well this is fromna show called Trailer Park Boys.
Seen here is Ricky and a character I'm not sure of.
The series was shot local to me.
Ricky and Lucy!

Isn’t that pretty normal, though? That doesn’t mean she isn’t talented.

Seems unlikely for a country artist, which she was when her first album came out; if it was manufactured from the start, I'd expect it to be pop from the get-go

i assume she must be a good dancer, having not seen her perform but having heard her concert vocal feeds. i'm a "professional" musician in that I've been paid a few times, i've earned far far less than she has and maybe someday I'll get to 5 figures but like her voice is rough. either that or she's just being paid billions for being pretty, which might be enough to push me over the edge.

A live concert feed is vastly different than recording in a studio, especially for performers that move around a lot. I would argue that her vocal performance in a live concert doesn’t reflect her vocal abilities in the studio.
Like, I totally understand why people wouldn’t like her music. It absolutely is not for everyone (just like all other music), but people who imply or flat out state she therefore doesn’t have any real talent are just crazy imho.
I’m not a fan, so I really don’t have any skin in the game, I just don’t get why people hate on her so much.

My favourite Taylor swift fact is that she was the babysitter and piano teacher for the pro wrestler Jeff Jarrett’s kids, that’s right double J, that’s J-E-double F, J-A-double R- E, double T.

i guess my bias comes from going to a high school where about 1% of the student population was in a show choir where folk danced more than she does and sang better than those concert feeds at the same time. so over the years i've gotten to know about 100 people who fit that bill and i'm not from the largest town. statistically extrapolating, there have to be tons of us.

I don't follow sports and I don't care for most country or pop music, but other people are free to like what they like.
I know she made a stand against record company greed, which I appreciate.
She supposedly gave out like $50million worth of bonuses to the crew on her latest tour.
She tried to keep her ticket prices lower than she could have charged.
What Kayne did to her was incredibly rude and she handled that situation with class.
Her dating Travis and attending his football games has somehow pissed off a lot of people for some reason and their response is usually something misogynistic.
The right wing media seems to hate her.
I heard she came out in favor of LGBT rights.
Given that she started off as a country singer and seems to be moving further left, I can only imagine she's influencing at least some of her fans to be more compassionate.
The only legitimate criticism I can think of is that she's worth about $2billion. She's been fairly good about being charitable from what I understand, and got most of that bread through her recent tour, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that she uses her money to do some good things.
Out of all the ways that someone could earn billions "Pop Star" is probably one of the least exploitative ways to go about it, it's not like she made it by underpaying workers like most capitalists.
I'm honestly a little annoyed by knowing so much about an artist who's art I don't even care for, but it's even more annoying that when I do hear about her, people are usually criticizing irrelevant things.
Can anyone tell me a good reason why a Leftist should jump on the 'Hate Taylor Swift' bandwagon along with Fox News and Donald Trump? Just seems like a weird person to go after when there are so many more people actively making the world a worse place.

So beautifully put. Thank you.
