How is it different from a window in a washing machines, because those are quite common.
I'm not sure… as my current washing machine don't have one. It's a top-loader. I do see washing machines with a round door, though. Maybe the difference is that the whole door is the glass part, so there's no seal to make with the rest of the "door" part, but that's not satisfying.
I'd be curious to ear from an expert about this.

Specifically in your face because one of the nozzles on the middle spray arm is aimed outwards to hit the latch on the detergent dispenser door.
I think the door is timed, not depending on a jet of water to manually open it...

The reason you dont is because it would probably disturb people to see their dishes slamming into each other.
Plus, it's not polite for company to see all my dildos flailing around in the water.

Front load washing machines let you see, but it's a tease because they lock the door.
It's so that you can pontificate on that tissue you left in your pocket as it dissolves into little bits of paper snot and gets stuck on everything

wrote on last edited by [email protected]Negative. Being struck with water pressure is what opens the detergent door. That's why it's sprung like a mousetrap and so easy to jostle open accidentally. You can take the door and dispenser apart if you like and you will find no electronics in there. Also, if you look carefully at the middle/upper wash arm you'll see that it has one nozzle I was talking about on the tip that points outwards, not up. That's the one that makes the stream designed to hit and open the detergent door.
Of course, the dishwasher's program determines when to blast it at full pressure to pop it open. So it is "timed" in that sense.

It is. No glass, they just take the lid off when they want to look inside, and it’s a flexible material . The thing on top of the cow here is the lid. Search Fistulated Cow for more info.
