I worked for an EV charger OEM. The industry is literally bottoming out. Before I was laid off. I didn’t have a sales meeting for months.

L2 or L3 chargers?

L2 or L3 chargers?
An L1 option, L2 and DCFC’s that we white labeled from a Chinese developer. We had a killer feature for Multi Unit Dwellings. We did true power sharing. Only issue is that you need Cell signal to talk outward and all the chargers had to be within line of sight of at least one charger to do mesh networks. Sometimes we could wirelessly install chargers on multiple floors by stacking them above and below each other.

I've definitely noticed more EA charging stations deployed (especially ones with more than 4 units per location) and fewer broken units. Also, a lot more L3 chargers from the likes of ChargePoint and EVGo.
Unfortunately, most are located in parking lots with nothing else nearby. Maybe some day they'll learn from Europe and China and make them places you would like to hang out, use a restroom, buy a coffee, or chill out.
