What's your favourite fast food burger?

So this is weird, but where I grew up there was a local, non-chain restaurant with 2 locations called Good Times. It was a combination Chinese, American and pizza joint. They don't have the location one town south of my childhood town, but the one I went to most is still there.
I don't suppose the one you're talking about is the same place...?
Nah this is a Colorado based fast food burger/milkshake type joint with sliders called "bambino burgers" and malt milkshakes. I get their Deluxe burger with green chile & cheese "wild" fries

There's a small chain in Wichita Kansas called Bionic Burger. The double with cheese and fried onions is the most reliable way to introduce someone to that true Americana flavor. Side of fries and a cherry malt, it's not something you should eat but damned if you don't enjoy every second of it.

It sadly no longer exists.
Back in the day there was a restaurant called Lickās in Toronto. They had an assembly line of people with loud 50s music and them singing whist they assembled your order. It was so much fun.
They had burgers that were actually burgers compared to any other chain. You could actually taste the meat!
My favourite side was called taterās and cream. Fries topped with yummy white sauce that was slightly sweet but creamy with real bacon bits smothered on top with chives.
They also had an amazing turkey burger. They had other unique items on the menu but I forget them.

My options are severely limited since I donāt eat meat, but The Habit makes a really nice veggie burger. They have one of the fake meat burger brands as well, but those honestly make me gag a little with how greasy they are.

Double teen burger from A&W.
Has enough meat with the double patty, and has all the toppings like onion, pickle, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, etc.

Canāt tell if thatās sarcasm but you actually nailed it⦠itās nostalgia food for me, I used to eat these as a kid
Oh I am being very genuine. I used to look forward to night classes in uni because I would ritualistically get 2 Mcdoubles dressed like macs on the way home.

Out of the big three, the whopper by far.
For smaller but still top 100 chains, locally would be A&W, non local would be In-n-Out
What is the third one for you? Obviously McDonalds and BK, but not sure which would be the third one.

Isn't that redundant? Are there non-fast-food burgers?
Regardless, if I'm getting fast food I'm getting something better than a burger.
Yes, there are gourmet burger places, and some fancy restaurants serve burgers (I've had a burger in a Jamie Oliver restaurant for example).
What do you consider better than a burger for fast food though?

A bag of dick's, delicious.
wrote last edited by [email protected]Twenty years ago I lived across the street from Dickās on Broadway. So many late nights ended with stumbling a few yards for a greasy bag of Dickās.
Interestingly enough, my former residence is now the Capitol Hill light rail station.
But thank the good lord Dickās is still there. -
The only fast food burgers I eat happen to be White Castle single cheeseburger.
How many in 1 sitting?

My current favorite one is a "local" (it's available nationwide though) one called Vicio, which means addiction in Spanish, I tried them because they opened a store near me and had a sign saying "We're called Vicio, and we cook burgers, you can imagine the rest" which I thought was pretentious, and decided to test them, but they're really good burgers.
Before those I would have said my favorite was Five Guys ones, still do but haven't had them in a while. And before those I used to like a local gourmet burger place back in Brazil.

I've had impossible burgers and they're surprisingly good but so damn expensive

Only one I can eat, impossible whopper. I wish they would go all in and use the superior black bean burger instead tho
When McDonald's gets an equivalent, they're going to make so much money off of me
