Trump doesn't care about approval ratings. He has a "golden parachute" waiting for him and his buddies in Russia after he destroys America.
From what I've seen so far, his "image", so to speak, and what people think of him, is of enormous importance to him. He's your basic narcissist who thinks he does great.
Same goes for Elmo who singlehandedly destroyed trillions of dollars in value by now and then still says he does great, that people love him and that he doesn't understand why people would burn Tesla, why would they do this to him, such a great person who does awesome things for humanity?

What countries with sanctions? In 2024 the transactions between us and Russia went down 2,481.4 Million dollars relative to 2023 when the war already had began. 526M in exports and 3000M in imports, maybe this data tells you what you need to know
