Not a good idea. Such a broth can be used as a pesticide but it's also dangerous to humans and animals. Nicotine also absorbs through the skin so, anyone trying this (which I can't recommend but for it's dangers and general lack of need for pesticides in home gardens) should be extremely careful and use all PPE (durable waterproof gloves, goggles, long sleeves, trousers, and waterproof footwear, as well as respirator if there's any chance of aerosolizing) when applying. Seriously. While it has been used historically by home gardeners, the toxicity is no joke.
And, always remember: Proper PPE is sexy.

Sorry not gonna read all that, but I assume my smoker buddies will love my homemade cigarestershire sauce!

Exactly what I said. But you missed the bit about Virginia-Perique blends.

"Standard textbooks, databases, and safety sheets consistently state that the lethal dose of nicotine for adults is 60 mg or less (30–60 mg), but there is overwhelming data indicating that more than 500 mg of oral nicotine is required to kill an adult.[7]" -- Source
"The average cigarette contains about 10 to 12 mg of nicotine. " -- Source
I guess it depends on your definition of "cigarette butt".I was not talking about adults, but children. Especially of toddlers, who put a lot of things into their mouths. There have been confirmed deaths of toddlers from chewing on cigarette butts, but I'm to lazy to dig out references just for your enterteinment.

One time when I was a drunk dumb teen I ate half a cigarette and I didn't die. Didn't even feel anything. I hear that thing about a cig butt killing a child a lot, I wonder if anyone has a source?
Disclaimer: it's not a good idea either way
You are an adult (mostly), not a child/toddler. Yes, there are sources.

Cool.
So you just skipped over that whole third part, eh?OK, so for future reference: in this part of the world, "cigarette butt" refers to the filter and optionally whatever remaining tobacco is unburnt after the cigarette is finished.
Hence "depends on your definition".

I overdosed on nicotine by accident.
I had a bottle of liquid from my refillable vape in my pocket that came open. Yes, it will go through the skin into your system.
ODing on nicotine, at least at the level I did lead to strong anxiety, heart palpitations, tachycardia, and projectile vomiting.
Also, I had a seizure after I finished dying outside and walked into work for my minimum wage job, right in the entry way.
I am epileptic though, so I'm not entirely sure if that related - as I was undiagnosed and untreated at the time. Making minimum wage with no medical benefits, choosing healthcare is a difficult decision over food and a roof.
