Yep, we’re already on daylight savings but I’m talking about Daylight Savings 2.0. Double scoop of sunlight for summer evenings. Winter’s still gonna suck.

I think they mean why don't we just settle on the "winter" time.
Which is actually the correct idea. The sudden change in sleeping causes heart attacks to skyrocket. Now, all those people would likely have one relatively recently, spread out like normal.
But that's what the system is (kind of) made for. All of them happening the first day of "spring forward" overloads ambulances and emergency rooms. I think by now hospitals overstaff when it happens. Like, at least it's oredictable I guess.
But there's no reason to keep switching
