I joined .ml originally only because i read the description and it was appealing for me "A community of privacy and FOSS enthusiasts, run by Lemmy’s developers"
Understood later in meant marxist leninists but at least I see opinions from all sides there and they doesn't bother me that much so i stayed.
But again can we avoid another pointless instance war? We're stronger together and the fediverse is better federated.

I kind of disagree. Some opinions are not worth being heard. Nazis/Magas, Tankies and other extremists don't contribute anything of value.
My life here on lemmy has been way better since I blocked all posts from lemmygrad.ml, lemmy.ml an blahaj.zone. Unfortunately there's no way to block comments as well, but other than that it has been a way better experience without the constant extremist propaganda flooding my main page.
But you're bringing up a great point. We really do need some kind of landing page that warns new users about joining these instances if they are not extremists themselves.

How convenient it must be to have been born into a society where the average political position just happens to be the true, objective center of all politics, and that anything outside of it can be dismissed out of hand as extremism without consideration.
For the vast majority of humans, both historically and now, adopting such a position would have meant unquestioningly accepting a deeply regressive ideology that history would leave behind. But you are just lucky enough to be born after history finished, when the one true centrist ideology has been objectively determined, one that definitely isn't extremist even though it keeps murdering hundreds of thousands of people.

They will ban people for finding furry porn weird, for saying "dragons don't exist" or stuff like "'I identify as an attack helicopter' is obviously a joke" and they take issue with being told that not everything is about them. They may not be as bad as the tankies and nazies, but they're still very much people I don't want in my feed!
