Are there actually any good mobile games?

Mobile games usually get a bad rep as they're usually asset flips and/or MTX-ridden and/or ad-filled, etc., and I'm sure this is actually the case for most games on the app/play store. But are there any ones that are actually good, maybe just something to pass the time with?
Orna, it's a gps game like pokemon go but it's a standard kill monsters get loot mmoRPG.
It does have MTX, but I've never bought any and I'm still enjoying myself. It doesn't significantly limit you for not spending like some games.

Keep is a traditional dungeon crawler and Boneyard is an endless wave survival game.

Magic Survival has been my main game for months; its such a simple game but really scratches that itch.
It has a pretty extensive wiki too. Decent amount of depth for a simple concept.

I play a game called townsfolk that's pretty fun but it's free for the basic stuff but a one time purchase unlocks a bunch of content.

Steamworld Heist is so good on phones and tablets. Zero ads, dark patterns, or scummy behavior.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon.
Infinitely replayable procedurally generated roguelike that is hard but fun to master, and a blast to play. It’s been on my phone for five years now and I still go back to it.
Totally offline, totally ad free, and still receiving active updates from the single developer.
It’s also got a pretty robust community.
By the way, it's completely open source (GPL-3.0)

It's gorgeous and fun and actively developed - all new card expansions are free and the release cycle alternate them with paid expansions that give you new possible harder bosses (or different card art etc). So far we have 2300 cards, extremely well received visual impairment support (honestly the only game I know of that have good blind support), and over 700k words of text (for story, events, mechanics etc).
Overall I find the price model very fair - kinda like Path of Exile model?

Alto's Adventure. One of those simple is powerful games. Though it can get really frustrating as there definitely are situations where the game just decides that actually, you're done.
Eh, my gripe is kind of the opposite. At a certain point, the levels get way too long to progress as a quick mobile game.

wrote last edited by [email protected]There are actual AAA full games, Feral Games is releasing a lot of their games on Mobile now (Android as example), like Alien: Isolation, XCOM 2, GRID Legends, Several Total War Entries and Tropico.
Hitman Absolution launches now in October 16th.
There are also some from other devs, like Focus' Mudrunner and Square Enix's Life Is Strange.
If you want awesome casual ones, there's Balatro, Isle of Arrows, Keep on Mining (non-slop incremental), Dungeon Clawler, Siege Up! and All Aboard! of the top of my head.

Walkscape is a step counter and an RPG, it's pretty cool but not exactly a game you spend a lot of time on. You mostly just walk and then check your progress and make a few decisions for your next walk (inventory, equipment, tasks, travels...)

If you like basic racing games, mad skills mx 3 is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Straight rhythm tracks, find the fastest line and set the fastest time to compete with everyone.
