Interesting! Though it's not actually Russia specific, they're just the most recent ones. The exact same thing happened before the American revolution. Everyone blamed the administrators working for him in the new world thinking they were deceiving the king. Actually, the king making his distain for the colonists clear was a major motivator towards revolution for many people
Point being naive monarchism happens anywhere people believe their leader is divinely inspired or otherwise perfect and loving of them. Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug
