The fact that every single RATM song is applicable 30 years later has shown that humans are not capable of governing themselves effectively. There was just another thread where people were talking about how many Gen Xers have gone full MAGA, but Rage is a quintessential Gen X band. Wtf happened

Probably the same people who are mad that RATM got political (aka media literacy = 0) Absolutely. Saying "Rage against the machine got political" is like saying "water got wet"

The fact that every single RATM song is applicable 30 years later has shown that humans are not capable of governing themselves effectively. They will remain applicable until the evil empire collapses.

I wish Zach de LA Rocha did more stuff I remember reading interview with some old rock & roll musician and he said something like "people keep asking me why I'm not as rebellious anymore and I'm like 'dude, I'm 50 and I have kids now. It's your generation's turn to rebel'". So yeah, Zach is 55 now...

Obviously dude had a lot of valuable shit he was getting done and I get why he didn't, I just like his rap a lot and think it would have been really nice to have more of him doing straight hip hop. Oh well.

The fact that every single RATM song is applicable 30 years later has shown that humans are not capable of governing themselves effectively. Capitalist realism...

The Machine started paying people's bills and they thought "Well maybe it's not so bad..." We do certainly live in a society
