In Dutch, there's the saying "de een zijn dood is de ander zijn brood" which roughly translates to "one man's death is another man's bread"

This has NOTHING to do with capitalism, it is because Russia is a totalitarian state.
Capitalism is not the deciding factor here. So stop trying to blame that, instead of the real reason.

We have the exact same saying here in Denmark. "Den enes død er den andens brød."
But I don't think it's a very good saying, because it implies a zero sum game.

The news here is that Russia still has a functioning funeral industry. Russia has high inflation driven by wage growth as a result of high military pay/benefits, and industry needing to compete with that pay. Radio Free Europe is a Russophobia propaganda service, and any facts/testimonials presented can be made up.

Ukrainian deaths are much higher, and Ukraine delayed accepting bodies, with speculation that 2000 bodies costs it $2B in benefits that it doesn't have. Ukraine delays KIA designations because of budget issues.

Sorry misspoke. Recognizing 6000 bodies would cost them a reported $2B. $333k/per.
