At least eight states, including Florida and Tennessee, have now introduced ... legislation to prohibit “geo-engineering” or “weather modification”

So, nothing to do with chemtrails and specifically addresses geo-engineering and weather modification. Cloud seeding is a thing and dispersing particulates to reflect sunlight has also been much discussed. These states simply don't want it happening in their state.

"Fesi testified on the Senate floor April 28 during debate over his bill that he believes “certain agencies within the federal government are doing cloud seeding and geoengineering.” In an interview Friday, the senator was asked what evidence he had to support his claims.

“Look up in our sky,” Fesi answered.

In an interview, Fesi later said he sees “just tons and tons of cloud seeding” above his backyard and described it as “all of the stripes across the skies.”

These bills are fueled by conspiracy theories and idiocy.

They mix the mind control chemicals straight into the jet fuel. The pilots don't even know they are complicit in making chemtrails.

This is, unfortunately, the same observation I've made in all the chemtrail-beleiving people I know. I zig in discussion, they zag, I realize they're taking small-scale cloud seeding operations as proof of both contrails being chemtrails and, often enough, humans fueling hurricanes for the leftist agenda. These people also tend to deny human ability to affect the planet's climate. The underlying logical interpretation of these states' bills is exactly why they're upheld, meanwhile, their constituents are still thinking about contrails.

There’s companies openly doing this already. One idiot not being able to cite it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Stop gaslighting people.

The point was not about if it was happening or not. It's about how these examples are used as fodder to keep the conspiracies flowing about chemtrails.

If you mix just the right amount of conspiracy with a little bit of fact, you get to keep all the votes from the crazies. It's super easy to use big words like "geoengineering" and twist them to imply that hormones are mixed with jet fuel.

The title of the article literally claims it’s not happening, which is false.

The invocation of chemtrails was specifically on the part of the author of the article. If you actually read the details, the laws are restricting geoengineering.

And it’s worth commenting so your ignorance doesn’t stand for anyone else reading.

Yeah, the bills specifically mention X, and The Guardian says 'something completely different is fake, therefore you should shit on the bill'. It's dishonest and makes people not trust The Guardian and the media in general.

It’s an issue I keep seeing with liberals, where they think it’s ok if they lie to people, because it’s for our own good. But conservatives lying is oh so evil.

In reality, they’re both just bullshitting to push whatever their donors want. Both are actively attacking democracy, as an informed public is required for democracy to function. Fucking tired of these geriatrics treating the entire populace like children.

We're going to need real geoengineering, so ofc Republicans are trying to ban it... Literal fucking death cult.
