I remember d3o, they used to make phone cases. Their product seems to work and this seems like a sensible application of it.

Anyone got real world experience though? Did their marketing from 20 years ago just work really well on me or is my impression accurate?

They made really nice knee and elbow pads.

A bit on the expensive side, but they were durable, flexible, and effective at impact reduction.
