Prosecutors from the General Prosecutor's Office have documented multiple links between Călin Georgescu's entourage and Russia, as evidenced by a series of information and images obtained by G4Media.ro from sources close to the investigation. According to them, the mercenary Horace Potra has direct links with circles of influence in Russia and with the Wagner paramilitary organization.
On 6 September 2024, Potra flew an Emirates plane from Moscow to Dubai.
Other images capture Horace Potra in Moscow, but also at the Russian Embassy.
A public post by Potra, made in the center of Moscow, was complemented by a commentary by Ioan Lup – „the head of Wagner”. This remark underscores the Potra-led group's potential ties to the Wagner paramilitary organization, known for its operations in conflict zones and methods of action of a military nature.
Another character from Călin Georgescu's entourage is Marin Burcea, a former fighter in the Foreign Legion nicknamed ”Sniper”. After ending her military career, Burcea partnered with characters such as Eugen Sechila, leader of a neo-legionary movement in Romania, and developed business with Dorina Mihai.
According to G4Media.ro sources, Burcea's business partner, Dorina Mihai, would have multiple connections with Chechen soldiers from the entourage of Ramzan Kadîrov, the leader of Chechnya, and General Zamid Alievici Chalaev. On social networks, Dorina Mihai posted laudatory images of Vladimir Putin, as well as photos with Chechen soldiers.
On Dorina Mihai's Facebook profile, the profile picture is the portrait of Colonel Zamid Aliyevich Chalaev, commander of the 2nd Special Police Regiment of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation in the Chechen Republic, nicknamed “Regiment Akhmat Kadyrov”, a unit involved in the assault on the city of Mariupol and the plant “Azovstal”.
Dorina Mihai was recently caught in Dubai in the company of members of the Chechen special forces fighting under the direct command of Ramzan Kadîrov, according to the cited sources.
